With the final 2019 tax deadlines upon us it is becoming the season of the fraudster. These people show up and target primarily the elderly. The call is used as a threat of arrest or jail for some unknown taxes which were not paid.
While you may not have received these calls please contact anyone you think may be at risk to take an action. The reminder is simple, no taxing body will EVER call, they ALL only send letters. If you are receiving a call it is a scam and they should hang up and contact someone you trust IMMEDIATELY!
